oh, the sweet little pumpkin! What could be better than than two sweet treats in one picture? Daddy came up with the candy idea seeing some pictures on my website and it sure made for some great pics. Thanks mommy for playing along which I know wasn’t easy! I had to post a few more to celebrate the goodness of Halloween of the little cutie from this shoot.

Enjoy the eye candy! and Happy Halloween!

Phyllis Skrysak - That’s my darling grandbaby. She was born in March and, when we come to visit again at Christmas, we will have been to visit Michelle, Jerome and Allie for the 4th time! I can’t believe how incredibly beautiful these pictures of my family are. You are a truly gifted artist. I work at a hospital and brought up the blog of the other 2 pictures of the 3 of them and Allie with the headband and bright flower and I must have had 2 dozen people raving about the pictures. One of the nurses thought she should be a baby model. Another worker in the Cardiac Cath Lab told me to order the flower one in a poster size and she couldn’t believe how gorgeous the lighting was in the park with the little rainbow in the upper corner. Everyone could tell that this was not just photography but “art”.

You have done true justice to my daughter, son-in-law and beautiful fasionista Allison- for sure.

Always, Grandma Skrysak

alpana - Thanks so much for your wonderful comments Grandma Phyllis. Ally was a joy to photograph and I am so glad you are enjoying the pictures!

Barbara Havrilla - Your daughter is just beautiful! These pictures are gorgeous! Your mom and I compare picture all the time.

Jeff Skrysak - These are some amazing photos! Great color, great use of lighting, and of course, a beautiful subject. 🙂 She is adorable. – Uncle Jeff

Jenny - I’m a sucker for black and whites, and just love what you did with these. A gorgeous subject always helps too! 🙂

Ellen Ing - These pictures are gorgeous, what I like the most is they are so natural.

I have been lax about updating my blog lately. I am still catching up with our move, trying to sell our old home and juggling home and work. I wanted to share some images from a family portrait session last weekend. This was a special family session which was purchased as a gift by the little one’s aunty. What a cool aunty!

We hung out in the Pacific Heights area of San Francisco. It is always an adventure going to new locations and it was an extended morning of fun scouting spots near by, shopping to add to little A’s wardrobe, napping for one of us, and then some fabulous photos. The funny thing was the park we ended up at had two other photographers shooting family sessions. It must be that time of the year!

Going down the steps, I loved the light so we had to get a few photo. How I love it! And check out the cute little fashionista…

Michelle - Alpana,
The photos are absolutely stunning! I have been running around the office getting people to pull up the site to look at the photos. We cannot wait to see more!
Michelle and Jerome

Dorothy - When I looked a those pics, I thought that was the most beautiful child and the hat really was perfect for her! The rest of the pics were well done, but that one picture certainly is most beautiful!!!! What a handsome family!— Dorothy

John - I love these pictures. She has gorgeous eyes. Hope to see you guys soon.

John

Josephine - Hi Alpana
Thank you for a spending the time to make this photo shoot very special for us. I really enjoyed spending the afternoon with you. You have an amazing eye and I love how your uniquely artistic style captures the beauty of your subjects. It all seems so sophisticated and yet you make everything (and everyone!) feel so natural and comfortable.

Tween twins | San Francisco Family Photographer

Typically, I chase much younger kids but this session was about active twelve year old fraternal twin boys. Soccer was their thing so they came armed with their balls and spent a good deal of time kicking the balls around. Mom wanted natural photos of the boys being themselves. “Not too natural” she said, as this seems to be the age where teen angst sets in 🙂 As a blip of their radar, I didn’t really get to experience any of it but got some wonderful moments as they arm-wrestled, laughed and goofed off in the course of our mini-session. Hope you like the pictures of your sweet boys, Nanci! I had a great time hanging out and we might just pop in to watch them playing soccer.

being close to each other (as in hugging) was out of question…though i love how this turned out with Peter sort of doing his own thing popping into the frame as I was shooting his brother.

Nanci - Wow, these turned out very well – especially with the challenge of catching both of them with nice expressions at the same time. We’re looking forward to seeing more. Thanks for working with us and our soccer balls!

marie - these are so fun

hope.

I knew a man in college who grew up in the inner city of Chicago & what he was doing in Iowa I never did figure out. But whenever he would see a jet trailing across the sky, he would stop everything he was doing & he would watch. Once, after a jet was gone & there was nothing left but the white line disappearing like a scar into the blue, he turned to me & said, An airplane is a miracle & I didn’t give it much thought, but now & then, when I am ready to give up hope for human beings in general, & for one or two of them who are bugging me specifically, I will look to the sky & there will be one of those miracles & I will remember it’s all about concentrating on the right thing.
~ The Storypeople

I am still pretty numb from the news. Got some sad news about a friend today and it has stayed with me through the day. She was diagnosed with Cancer. I don’t know all the details but the cancer has affected many areas of her body including her stomach and intestines. We met online along with with several other women in our journey of trying to have a baby. Since, we have become an international community of close friends that have stayed in touch, supported each other through good times and bad, partied and hugged each other many, many times.

She has three little kids and a wonderful husband. One of the strongest women I have met and never afraid to speak her mind even with an opposing viewpoint. A good hearted person that takes the time to know you. The real you. There is so much depth to her and now she is facing one of the biggest battles in her life. I know she can fight this awful disease. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. If you have any inspirational words or quotes please feel free to post them under comments. I love the Storypeople quote above resonates that hope is never to be lost.

Leah - I love this Alpana. IT’s beautiful. I’ll be sure to think of it often. My life would be so different without our group. It’s enriched because each person and child has touched me in different ways. Kathy once sent me a sign that says Praise The Lord and it’s hanging above my door. I think of her and remember to pray now and I won’t quit.

Shelly - Alpana, I too believe she will fight and if anyone can overcome such news it is Kathy. She IS a fighter and will fight as hard as she has to. Your words are very moving and I love the Story people message.

Lynda - That message is wonderful Alpana. Miracles do happen and I believe Kathy will be our miracle. Constant prayers for Kathy.

I realized that I hadn’t posted an update since out move. We moved a couple weeks back though still have some painting getting finished up to let the dust settle and start unpacking. It took us a bit to get our internet connection going and my email has also been down quite a bit. My apologies if you have had email that bounced back. If I haven’t replied chances are I didn’t receive it so please email me again as hopefully the email issues are now resolved.
