East Bay Newborn Baby Session

From my recent East Bay Newborn Baby Session. This lovely mama welcomed her third chid, a baby girl after a gap of eleven years, and that just made the session even more special. WOur session was in their home and on the property embracing the elements that made for interesting backdrops. Clients can worry about their homes not being perfect for the sessions and we can usually make something work. While you don’t have to worry about having a perfect house, it does help to have the rooms we might use be somewhat photo ready. That means getting rid of any unnecessary clutter that shouldn’t be in the photo. Tip: Most likely, we would use the baby’s room, your bed, or a sofa. The most important piece in the images is the emotional connection with the newborn.
Another thing to keep in mind…Newborns can be challenging and coupled with the fact that you are a new mom, patience is key. If things don’t go perfectly, please hang in there. There is nothing such as a perfect session and the more relaxed you stay, the baby will sense it. Or the opposite can also be true. Remember that each baby is different and there is no set answer! I hope you can keep the big picture in mind… the reason you are documenting these images to have as keepsakes for posterity.
