project 10 | our family day

I am joining a group of talented ladies to document the happenings of a day in our life. Project 10 calls for taking photos at various times in the day. Usually, our days are pretty unexciting and much of it is filled with school and sports. I picked a day when my son played hookie (shhh…) to spend time with his big cousin that we rarely get to see. It was a picture perfect day! We hiked Mount Tam, ate a picnic lunch and soaked in the gorgeous views. My husband and I used to hike out there prior to having our boy. It was quite an adventure finding the trail again and to see that not much had changed in ten years since we had last visited. As the evening drew to an end, my little guy sorted out his homework while his cousin brother cooked us a steak dinner. The project called for a self-portrait and the last image is my attempt at one.
