Can’t believe I haven’t shared this session yet! Have been a bit slow with updates on the blog.

I got to photograph little Jude and his family a few weeks back on a gorgeous warm evening. Remember him? I have been photographing him since he was a wee one and have grown to be rather attached to this family. Mom booked his annual session and this time around dad was able to come out for the session. I am so lucky to be in these lovely people’s life and document their real and intimate moments. I can see how much they adore their little guy. And how beautifully they handle him in his few difficult moments without frustration. It speaks volumes of how they are raising their sweet little guy! It was so evident with Jude being so receptive to me so quickly, a relative stranger that sees him once a year.

The session started with him just waking up after a ride out to the east bay from San Francisco. He adjusted pretty quickly to being thrown into a photo session. We explored and played together. Some of us ran and some of us chased those that ran. One of my favorite moments from the session was with little Jude in the driver’s seat of his vintage car. He was having some car troubles and mom just jumped into the frame heels and all to give him a little push. That look of glee on his face was just priceless.

So here you go… the perfect spot, perfect light with the perfect family. What more could one ask for?

It was heart warming to hear that little William is going to be a big brother. I photographed his lovely family back in June last year. It was wonderful to go back and see little W and his glowing mama for a maternity session.

This adorable baby girl was almost two months old at the time of the photo session. You could see how much she had her dad wrapped around his finger. Such a beautiful connection with the lovely family of three.

…is here!! The stars aligned and I got to go out and take some pictures of the little man. A few minutes into the shoot he found a rollie pollie which pretty much defined the vision of our shoot.

ring out the old, ring in the new.

I have been meaning to update the good ole blog for quite a while now. As the new year unfolds, there will be some further exciting changes but for now this will be my work in progress. Happy New Year to my wonderful readers!

ps. I haven’t gotten around to making holiday (err, New Year) cards yet. My attempts to get the boy to model for me haven’t worked quite so well. I haven’t given up entirely and am holding on to hope that I can get some decent pictures soon.

With the nice weather last weekend, it was great to be out taking some photos. Currently, the only ones I have started proofing are the indoor ones so mom + dad will have to wait a bit for the rest. Meanwhile, I hope you enjoy these for your sneak peek.

The session was with two boys- a three month old big baby boy and his four year old brother, both of them absoultely adorable! It was challenging to get them both together with the baby not quite sitting up and being a bit heavy for big brother. Although, he did a great job in some of the pics we got! And we had the greatest playdate with his dinosaurs…can you tell he is a collector?

Such a happy little three-month old guy!

I knew this was going to be a fun shoot when I met the mama for the first time! We went through her clothing choices for her little girl and I was really excited. FYI, when a client books a regular session, I am available for help with clothing choices if you need it. I send out a fabulous clothing guide to all clients that book a shoot (regular or mini) and for a regular session and am happy to do a pre-consult if needed. When I saw the clothes, I thought it would be fun to have an urban shoot and mom was all for it. We went back and forth with a few location choices to settle on an area. Eventually, we ended up doing a few spots in the area including one I found by chance during the shoot. I love scouting locations to find unique spots.

The siblings were 16 month old baby R and 4.5 year old R. They were quite the opposite with one being pretty active and the other not which always makes for a challenging shoot! The beauty of it is that things don’t have to be perfect…I try to capture life as I see it which is far from perfect I loved how the shots turned out. I have several more to proof that I won’t get to share now but might at a later day.

Anakin Skywalker is in the house!

We managed to find our much anticipated Anakin Skywalker costume for Mr. R. I got a few quick pictures of the “fierce” Jedi student on our way to the Unhaunted House. The mask is a bit creepy for me and I was surprised he wore it as he used to hate having masks on…or for that matter even costumes which is hard to believe right now.
