Baby Warren arrived early andi got to meet him when he was two and a half weeks old for his newborn photos. Typically, I photograph newborns early however with the holidays and illness we ended up shooting these a bit later than planned. These are some images that were captured at his newborn/family photo session. As you can see big brother with his amazing smile was quite the charmer as he popped in and out of the photos. Since I can’t have a blog post without pictures, here are a couple from a recent session. This was a rather spontaneous shoot for me but I loved the way it turned out. Beautiful light, beautiful baby girl + parents with some water play. What could be better than that? Since it was the couple’s anniversary, it made it an extra special day to capture these memories of their sweet little family.

One of the first things that struck me within minutes of meeting her was how much she laughed and enjoyed her wonderful family. Our session was full of laughs as you may see in the photos. I caught a lot of natural smiles without much effort on my part. Her two handsome boys (specially the four year old) kept me on my toes. Who needs the gym when you can chase four year olds? He was pretty symbolic of his age not being able to stay still for more than a few minutes (oh, wait seconds) and that was pretty much how I captured him on camera.

I had such a wonderful time with Carolyn’s amazing family and couldn’t have been happier to gift this custom photography session to her family. Hope you love the photos, Carolyn as much as I do!

It’s that time again. I try to do a blog contest every year with a few of my favorite photos from the year. Last year, I was out of the country so this is last year’s contest I have too many favorites but I had to limit the entries to make this work.

The rules are simple!

1. In the comment section, vote for your favorite photo using the number. It might take a day or so for the comment to show up.

2. Anyone can vote- whether your photo is in the contest or not.

3. To keep it fair only one vote per family- so no extras votes for each of your kids, cats or dogs if the photo is yours (or not). By all means, send it to aunts, cousins and friends and have them vote for your picture.

4. The winning photo gets a complimentary 11 x 14″ print.

5. For multiple votes on the winning pictures I will be in touch with you. If you are local, you will be eligible for a 15 minute photo session with me (products are NOT included and you need to be able to travel to me). All you have to do is tell me why I should pick you and the best story will win- I will pick one winner. If you aren’t local or don’t want a session, the winner get a complimentary $25 Target card.
