Alpana is the best photographer you’ll find.  And really, she’s more than that–she’s an artist.  The pictures she took of our daughter are priceless works of art that we’ll always cherish.  The great thing is, she’s also organized and professional. It is hard to find someone who can manage a business AND be an amazing artist, but somehow she does both beautifully.  She guides you through the entire process, from recommending clothing for your photo session to helping you place your order for photos, to calling you to make sure your pictures have arrived and that you love them.  She truly loves her job and it shows in every photo she takes.

What distinguishes Alpana among family/newborn photographers is her AMAZING gift for making photos that are true “art” rather than simply great photos! My husband and I wanted to capture the fleeting and precious moments of our newborn in his first few weeks of life. When we saw Alpana’s work it was love at first sight. Her photos are artistic, passionate, emotionally stirring, and simply magical. We knew we had to work with her and she made working with her so easy. We have thousands of photos of our kids, but none have ever looked so amazing. Alpana’s patience and love of her work shone through as she photographed my 2 children running wild at the park. Even as I watched her take the photos, I couldn’t imagine any of my kids were sitting long enough to get a good shot – just the opposite – when the proofs came I had the hardest time choosing – they were all so wonderful! She captured the innocence of my 4 yr old boy with a playful grin and the shyness and beauty my 7 year old is starting to show as she gets older. These are more than photos, these are pieces of art!

I was so pleased with my session with Alpana.  It was such a relaxed atmosphere. Instead of having my son sit in a certain position and “say cheese” she took pictures of him in his natural state while engaging him in conversation.  Alpana captured expressions of my son that are so unique to him. And she was able to capture my son’s 5 year-old  spirit in these pictures so when I look at them I not only see his cute face but I get a feel of his personality.  What a treasure.  The storyboards are a wonderful way of presenting the photos.  Thank you, Alpana!
