I am joining a group of talented ladies to document the happenings of a day in our life. Project 10 calls for taking photos at various times in the day. Usually, our days are pretty unexciting and much of it is filled with school and sports. I picked a day when my son played hookie (shhh…) to spend time with his big cousin that we rarely get to see. It was a picture perfect day! We hiked Mount Tam, ate a picnic lunch and soaked in the gorgeous views. My husband and I used to hike out there prior to having our boy. It was quite an adventure finding the trail again and to see that not much had changed in ten years since we had last visited. As the evening drew to an end, my little guy sorted out his homework while his cousin brother cooked us a steak dinner. The project called for a self-portrait and the last image is my attempt at one. Hello! It has been quiet around here and I thought I would pop up and post a recent photo. I have been on break for a while and so has my blog However I do publish little snippets on my Facebook page which is a great way to stay in touch. I have several portrait sessions to shoot and I am excited to slowly start getting back into the swing of things. I will be taking a break for a few weeks to recoup from a surgery starting Monday. Please be patient if you don’t hear from me in a timely fashion. Rest assured, I hope to be back soon enough doing what I love doing the most… capturing those little moments and telling your stories.

It has been a while since I have had a chance to catch up and blog so many wonderful sessions. This was a sweet little session with two fourteen month old twin babies moving at warp speed in opposite directions. It is a wonder to be able to get them all in the frame and looking at the camera. The session was relaxed and in their home and I loved that it captures their different personalities. Photographed with a mix of medium format film and digital camera.

Please note that I will be taking a break for for a few weeks starting Monday, Jan 28th to recoup post surgery.

On a beautiful warm fall day, I hung out with the Tollefsons to take their family photos. They hugged, they played, they ran and we made some wonderful memories for this Raiders family. Dad brought along his pro-football number jerseys for the little ones and mom. Are they adorable in them?

Thought I would take a breather in this busy holiday season and share this lovely family session. I spent a few hours with this blue-eyed nine month old little man and his parents in their east bay home. The session was a gift from his aunt/grandparents and one to cherish for the family.
