Last year, many of you opened up your hearts and donated to raise funds for Amber’s Cure. Every year, I try to donate a photo session as my pay-it-forward to help someone I can with my art. This one was for Amber. Amber is a brave young mama with two boys that is battling a rare copper disease. Her doctors are still looking for answers and she has held on through varying health complications after her original diagnosis.

Recently, Amber became my facebook friend and I am struck by her sense of humor as continues to fight for her life.

One of her recent facebook updates read, “Why are there so many commercials for toilet paper? Who is not buying it?”

And another from a while back, “I hate how homeless people shake their coin cups at me. I get it. No need to gloat that they have more money than me.”

She just started chemotherapy for yet another new diagnosis of Lukopenia. But she stays strong and funny. She still needs support so please visit her page at Amber’s Cure and support her any which way you can.

The winner of the fund-raising raffle received this complimentary portrait session with images. I was really happy to do the session for this lovely family. I photographed them last year and you can see that session here. The girls are now two and a half and gave me an expected workout. I wanted the images to capture their free spirit and personalities. In so many ways, it is one of my favorite sessions in a while! Please let me know if you have a favorite image?

If you are interested in a portrait session, please contact me for more information.
