About

Have you been postponing your family portrait session?

Perhaps you have a hard time being in front of the camera?

Or are you the person who wants to learn how to take everyday photographs of the story of your life?

As a mom, I know that one day my fourteen year old son will walk out of the house carrying his suitcase instead of his backpack. There is so little time to capture who he is now, in this moment, in this tiny pocket of time, where he wavers between who he is and who he is so quickly becoming.

If you are looking for a photographer to document your family or yourself, I can help you.

You can trust me to authentically capture you and your family with a mix of posed and candid images that will tell your story. I love all genres of photography that involve people including, headshots, brand refresh images, and more.

It’s about capturing YOU, in this moment in time, and not about perfection.

If you are interested in learning photography, I want to show you how to beautifully tell your story.

In the coming weeks, I will be offering course content that can help you learn to take better photographs at your own pace.

I live and work in the SF Bay Area as a family photographer. Having worked for ad agencies and marketing firms after art school, I developed my own expertise in advertising, design and photography, which helped me create my business, Storyboxart.

Vintage Photo Storyboxart

I gained inspiration from a box of old photos from my childhood. There was one photo of me and my siblings and neighborhood kids, taken at a town fair with the backdrop of a cardboard box. With one click of the shutter, time stopped. As I look through my box of photos, I see my history in these yellowed old black and white photos.

I visualize my subjects growing up, growing old, and looking at their pictures, remembering that moment when we took these photos. Perhaps you were sharing a laugh together. Or you were a new mother holding your firstborn, or Grandpa telling a story to the child on his lap.

These are the everyday moments that bring our families together and create memories.

I want to capture these memories for you.
